In 2022, we opened our doors at Pride Center FXBG to provide a safe space for the local LGBTQ+ community. Since then, our reach has expanded in the greater Fredericksburg area with local events, support groups, and social gatherings.
This year, we connected with local partners to bring you exciting new ways to celebrate Pride Month in Fredericksburg, VA.
We kicked off Pride Month at Curitiba Art Cafe, where we turned their back alley into a vibrant dance floor under colorful black lights. It was an amazing start to the best month of the year!
As part of June’s First Friday celebrations, we kept the party going with a Mrs. Roper Romp, hosted in partnership with the Downtown Dolls. Named after the iconic and flamboyantly dressed character Mrs. Roper from the classic TV show "Three’s Company," this event celebrated vibrant and expressive fashion.
This gathering was about fun and fundraising, and helped us continue to support and celebrate our vibrant community. Fredericksburg did not disappoint. Y’all came out, struck fabulous poses, and contributed to a great cause.
Pride Center FXBG and FXBG Pride brought you the most sensational event of the year. We relived one of the most iconic decades while celebrating diversity within the LGBTQ+ community. Dressed in our best ‘90s themed outfits, we partied like it was 1999! 🌈

After enjoying an exciting baseball game, we lit up the night sky with a fireworks display sponsored by FAHASS, symbolizing our vibrant community's spirit and unity. This event was a memorable part of our Pride celebrations, offering an atmosphere of joy and inclusivity as we cheered on the local team and came together under the spectacular light show.
